LOS ALADINOS
Aladino and Rosa—just saying the pair’s names together feels like the start of a storybook, and the farm itself, Finca Aladinos, could easily be the setting for one. It was only a short while ago that Aladino and his father, Urbano Delgado, decided to plant coffee on their land. They were inspired after learning that the most celebrated specialty coffee growers in their region were cultivating varieties like Caturra, Catuai and Bourbon.
As for the farm’s name, it came about organically. Friends and family would often say, “Vamos a la Finca de Aladinos”—“Let’s go to Aladino’s farm”—and the name simply stuck. Aladino is now the second generation to work this land. Part of it previously belonged to his father, who passed down not only the land but also the essential knowledge of coffee farming. That foundation, paired with Aladino’s growing passion, opened doors he never imagined—like traveling to the United States and Japan. Still, he remains focused on continual learning, always seeking to refine his process.
